Our digital world is becoming more complex everyday and we understand less and less of it.
Goals of the session
  • Realise and acknowledge how business digital complexity undermines our ability to understand end-to-end business in a systemic manner.
  • Discover new ways of working that leverage open standards to harness complexity, better understand and make fact-based decisions.
  • Concrete examples using a knowledge graph to measure business value delivery using an enterprise architecture ontology
Without a proper digital transformation, the daily-growing digital complexity underpinning any modern business overwhelms human brain's cognition. We've reached a point where we need machines to help us understand a machine-generated digital complexity, including the monitoring of projects' added value.

The session will last 1 hour and 45 minutes (or more depending on the receptiveness and engagement of the audience) and contain three parts. The first part is a 45 minutes presentation addressing points 1 and 2 above. In the second part (30 min), the audience will be asked to contribute by answering pools, provide personal insights about pain points, problems, requirements when it comes to monitoring business value delivery and working on concrete use cases (digital products or services) of their choice. The last part (20-30 minutes) will address point #3 above with concrete use cases from the pharmaceutical industry.
